In 2025, the Government of Punjab continues to offer exciting opportunities for fresh agriculture graduates through structured internship programs designed to enhance practical skills, promote field exposure, and support rural development. The flagship initiative for 2025 is the Punjab Agriculture Graduate Internship Program, now running under the Chief Minister’s Agriculture Transformation Plan.

This internship aims to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and field practice. It targets young professionals who are eager to support farmers and contribute to sustainable agriculture.

Project Objectives

  • Engaging unemployed fresh graduates as interns to build a skilled and experienced agricultural field force capable of meeting the future demands of the sector.
  • Offering continuous professional development to close the gap between academic knowledge and hands-on field experience.
  • Enhancing service delivery to farmers by strengthening their capacity and increasing their income through access to evidence-based and diagnostic-driven extension services.

Key Details:

  • Eligibility: BSc (Hons) Agriculture graduates (up to age 25) with a Punjab domicile. Preference is given to applicants from the same tehsil where the internship is assigned.
  • Duration: 12 months (full-time field internship)
  • Stipend: PKR 60,000/month (subject to provincial policy updates)
  • Number of Seats: Up to 1,000 district-wise allocated positions across Punjab
  • Training Areas: Agricultural extension services, communication skills, farmer advisory, pest management, soil health, and crop monitoring.

Application Process:

  • Application forms and official notifications are available on the Punjab Agriculture Department’s website.
  • Submit the complete form along with required documents (CNIC, academic transcripts, domicile) to the relevant Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension) in your district.
  • Online application is also expected to open in August 2025.
